“He deserves someone who will see him for who he really is, Eden. Not for what he’s done.”

Let me start by saying that I have never read A.L. Jackson before and after this book, I will be adding more of hers to my TBR list and my bookshelves. I stumbled upon her on Instagram, was immediately drawn to the gorgeous cover of the book and decided to give it a try.

And, I am not sorry I did! If you are looking for a book that has it all – spicy scenes, beautiful words, love, characters you want to be best friends with and motorcycles… then you HAVE to pick this one up.

P.S. I might be slightly in love with the main character Trent… just slightly…

Title: Give Me A Reason

Author: A.L. Jackson

Series: Redemption Hills, Book #1

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I couldn’t stop reading!)

Spicy Level: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶(5 out of 5, very spicy!!)

Summary from Amazon: Eden Murphy came into my club looking to make some extra cash.

A girl like her didn’t belong in a place like this.

She’d get ripped to shreds.

Most likely by me.

There’s nothing but sweetness dripping from her sexy little body, and I’m the monster who’s salivating to get a taste.

Trent Lawson is the last man I should want.

Dark.

Dangerous.

So wickedly gorgeous he makes my knees weak.

He’s also an arrogant jerk who happens to be my new boss.

When I discover his adorable son is also in my kindergarten class, I know I have to keep my distance.

But neither of us can ignore the attraction that flames.

One glance, and our hearts race.

One touch, and we’re aching for what we can’t have.

One night, and we’re falling fast.

Dragging her into my sordid world is wrong.

It doesn’t matter.

Eden Murphy is mine.

My Thoughts: Okay, so I finished this book in two days. Two days! That’s how much I loved it.

When I first started the book, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because of the writing style. A.L. Jackson’s writing is more short form paragraphs and sentences than I am used to in books and I was unsure what I thought.

But, as the book went on, I actually really loved her writing style!

The way she describes the characters, Trent and Eden, and really brings you into Trent’s life and the flashbacks to his childhood made me feel so connected to them. In some instances, I forgot they were characters and thought of them as real people.

I am definitely drawn to the MC part of the book and seeing someone who, from the outside looks rough and dangerous, and getting to learn who they really are on the inside. Someone who had a tough childhood, was thrust into this kind of life and just wants to be loved.

Being introduced to Trent and his son and seeing the love he has for him and the kind of father he is, made me swoon!

And Eden was a strong character who held her own, did what she had to do for her Dad and stuck by Trent’s side even when it felt like it was too much.

I honestly could go on forever about this beautiful story, filled with some of the hottest scenes I have read, but you will have to grab it yourself to learn more!

Have you read this book? Or any others from A.L. Jackson?
